Bowl Selection Show 2015 ESPN Unveils NCAA College Football Bowl Games
The Big Ten Championship Game between Michigan State and Iowa is a virtual play-in game.
Stanford moved up two spots to No. 5 after winning the Pac-12 title and Iowa dropped two spots to sixth after its first loss of the season.
A pair of ACC schools will continue the two longest current Division I bowl streaks in the nation, as Florida State (34th straight year) and Virginia Tech (23rd straight) confirmed their postseason destinations. The Tigers will take on Baker Mayfield and the No. 4-seeded Oklahoma Sooners in the Capital One Orange Bowl in Miami. Ohio State is idle and still has an outside shot if they get help. But what time is the Bowl Selection Show, and when is the Bowl Selection Sunday telecast on ESPN?
With the Pac-12 Champion Stanford Cardinal not in the playoffs, they will most likely get slotted in the Rose Bowl on Year’s Day against Iowa or Ohio State. It will be the 12th bowl appearance for the Blue Devils, who are 3-8 all-time in postseason games.
The No. 1-ranked team by the committee will play against the No. 4 team in a semifinal while No. 2 and No. 3 will meet in the other semifinal game. It will also announce which schools are heading to which bowl games. And according to ESPN it is set to last 4 hours long. The Hokies will be playing their final game under retiring head coach Frank Beamer, college football’s winningest active coach with 279 career victories.
