Cowell Feared For Son’s Safety After Break
Simon Cowell has branded a neighbourhood security guard a “hero” after he managed to retrieve his passport from a burglar who broke into his home on Friday.
Cowell has a security system on his estate, but he said he has “the worst guard dogs in the world”.
The music mogul was woken by his security guard who informed him of the crime and the burglar was allegedly spotted as he dashed away from Mr Cowell’s home. Cowell lives with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and 21-month-old son Eric in a $20 million estate in Holland Park. Someone gets into your house and steals stuff – it could’ve been worse.
‘No one got hurt. “It’s the fact they’re in your house”.
M’Bathonha, who works for Security Consultancy Services, said the bag “felt like there was a lot of jewellery in it”. He saw the burglar leave and drop my passport. I got out of the auto and picked it up.
“He approached the guy but the guy ran off. The guard then told us somebody had burgled the house”.
The show is continuously in the news, with the latest controversy saying that “The X Factor” is fixed after host Olly Murs made a gaffe in announcing the eliminated contestant, Monica Michael, before the envelope with the results was even given to him.
According to The Sun, it’s not the first time someone has gotten into Cowell’s home.
Detectives are unsure whether Simon’s home was deliberately targeted – or he was merely the victim of an opportunistic break-in. When asked about his own employee, Cowell said: “One person won’t be here anymore”.
Sharing his heroic act, Mendes told the media how he ran up to thief, put his hands on his shoulders and said “wait a second”, according to Mirror.
Ché Chesterman’s big voice has been impressive ever since his first audition so it was no surprise that he nailed his performance of “Would I Lie to You” and all of the judges were filled with glowing praise for the Essex singer.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
