Gionee P5W announced as new budget smartphone

Gionee has introduced a new smartphone, P5w, which has been listed on its global website.

The smartphone features a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, which is accompanied by a 2MP front facing camera.

The smartphone is powered by a 2,000mAh battery. The device is officially announced by the company without price tag.

Last month, the company launched the Marathon M5 in India at a price of Rs 17,999.

The Gionee P5W features a 5-inch IPS oncell display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution.

The device packs a MediaTek MT6735 chipset that will be supported by 1 GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Gionee P5W runs Android Lollipop operating system along with the vibrant Immersive UI.

Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and Micro-USB.

With DTS 3D Stereo surround sound technology, users get to listen to good quality music. The Gionee P5W is fueled by a 2000mAh battery.

The Gionee P5W comes in a range colours including White, Blue, Red, Yellow and Black colors and will soon go on sale.

With this info available for now, we can definitely expect the device to be launched pretty soon in India.

It is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Regular SIMs. some of the Sensors on the phone like Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. The device measures 143.3 x 72 x 8.9mm and weighs 153 grams.
