John Boyega anxious about fan reaction to ‘Star Wars’
British actor John Boyega, who makes his Star Wars debut in the new film, has admitted he’s finding it odd adjusting to all the extra attention he’s getting ahead of its release.
“I don’t tell her because it would be bad if she said something to a fan and it got out”.
That is because, instead of focusing on the movie’s numerous heroes, the latest trailer features Adam Driver, as the villainous Kylo Ren.
Finn says in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, “You don’t know what I’ve seen. What was so powerful in the original trilogy is that even though (Darth Vader) was behind a mask, you could always feel (him) thinking”. We see Ren doing a kind of faith-healer move on Dameron. “I wasn’t anticipating it”. Early projections peg the movie to rake in at leat $170 million in its opening weekend alone. As one might expect, the closer we get the the premiere of the film, the greater chance that major leaks will get out and spoil some of its major plot-points. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due out December 18. Other casts include the veterans: Harrison Ford as Han Solo with his all-time loyal sidekick Chewbacca played by Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher as Leia, and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.
“Because for me, I would expect to read the first two pages, then your character’s name’s not coming up as much”.
The film is yet to be classified in the United Kingdom but has received a PG-13 rating in the USA for “sci-fi action violence”.
The story is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and was written by director J. J. Abrams, alongside Lawrence Kasdan.
