Barry fights the Trickster as Wally
The Trickster will be joined by Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre).
The Flash has never shied away from familial dynamics that exist outside of the conservative, traditional idea of what makes up a family – i.e. Barry’s (Grant Gustin) place in the West family.
Though Lonsdale was sure to stress that there have been no moves made to transition Wally into his Kid Flash superhero alter ego, that doesn’t mean Wally won’t be getting to interact with the rest of Team Flash – though it will be in “small doses”.
“It’s like forcing two people to be siblings and for Wally, it’s like, well, there’s already a lot going on and now there’s this other guy – him being Barry – who is in the place Wally is trying to fit himself into [in the West family] so that’s hard. That’s what I want, to see what kind of craziness they can get into together”, he added.
Mostly to be running side by side with The Flash, with Barry Allen [Grant Gustin]. Whereas he could read two books to prepare as Uriah, Wally West has a rich, 50-year comic history (the character debuted in Flash #110 in 1959) that would make it hard for Lonsdale to even scratch the surface.
Wally West is reportedly going to be Joe’s son and Iris’ brother, and his introduction into the TV series will definitely bring more to the table for fans to enjoy.

OK, enough of this Kid Flash business.
Not as excited as we are to finally see the West family reunion.
“The whole family mechanic that the Rogues will one day be is at play now, where you don’t know whether they’re going to implode or it’s going to be unbelievably successful”, McIntyre told ComicBook.com about tonight’s episode. “I’m excited to see what the fans think and excited to see how he affects the dynamic of the West family and the show”. People obviously can relate to someone based on how they look, but at the same time, they really fall in love with who they are. And in a couple of interviews previewing his character’s long-awaited first-time meeting with his dad Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and sister Iris (Candice Patton), Lonsdale revealed why he relates to Wally so much. The Flashs midseason finale Running to Stand Still aired tonight at 8 p.m. EST on The CW, and the show will likely return from its winter hiatus sometime in late January.
