Jon Bon Jovi — I’M NOT BUYING THE TITANS … ‘Just Rumors’
According to a CBS Sportsline report, the former hard-rocking Bon Jovi could be among the interested parties in purchasing the Tennessee Titans if and when they come up for sale. Following the death of longtime owner Bud Adams, the team has been run by his offspring but with rumors floating about the possible future sale of the franchise even as the family denies this.
Back in 2014, Jovi was part of a group who attempted to buy the Buffalo Bills.
An NFL insider, Bon Jovi hung out on the sidelines of last month’s Patriots-Giants game in East Rutherford with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Patriots owner Robert Kraft prior to kickoff.
The rocker was part of a group that tried to buy the Buffalo Bills a year ago, and he once owned an Arena Football League team, so his interest in joining the sport’s ownership is clear. The rocker’s personal net worth is estimated at around $300 million, and the Titans would be likely to generate $1 billion at the very least.
There could be other potential suitors for the Titans, CBS Sports noted.
The Bills were eventually sold to the Pegula family, who also own the Pittsburgh Penguins.
But Bon Jovi tells TMZ Sports… for now, he’s not trying to take over the Titans.
On his Twitter account, Bon Jovi posted this tweet: “Rumors of my interest in the TN Titans are nothing more than that”.
