Livin’ on a payer? Jon Bon Jovi reportedly interested in buying Titans
The Tennessee Titans are rumored to be in the sights for Jon Bon Jovi and his group of investors, who reports indicate may try to make a bid for the team after failing to buy the Buffalo Bills.
The singer was seemingly spurred on to comment on the reports after CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported that Bon Jovi is among potential suitors in line for the franchise.
The Sayreville native is said to be among the possible purchasers of the Titans if the Adams family, who now own the team, .made a decision to sell the franchise.
‘I’ve talked to the owners, and I know what they say about selling, and the answer is the team is not for sale, ‘ Underwood told The Associated Press at the time.
Bon Jovi previously wanted to set up a group to buy the Buffalo Bills, which he also denied before attempting the purchase.
Bon Jovi replied to the rumors on social media & downplayed the buzz, writing: “Rumors of my interest in the [Tennessee] Titans are nothing more than that”. The rocker’s personal net worth is estimated at around $300 million, and the Titans would be likely to generate $1 billion at the very least. You’d imagine that any team would catch the eye of an interested buyer since the opportunity to buy one doesn’t come around all that often.
Bon Jovi owned the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia Soul from 2004-08. The Pegula family, which additionally owns the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, ultimately won the bidding to maintain the team in Buffalo.
