Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith Officially Divorced
After they had been broken up for over a year, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith’s divorce was finalized – at long last – this summer.
Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas’ marriage is really over.
A Los Angeles judge finalized the actors’ divorce on Friday and the judgment was released Tuesday.
The former couple will split all movie earnings from 2004 until the date of their separation in 2014, which includes money Banderas earned for his movies including Shrek 2 and The Expendables 3, Puss in Boots and Machete Kills.
The former Hollywood couple split in 2014, after 18 years of marriage, and the actors reached a settlement over finances and other assets in July (15). They first announced that they would be divorcing in June 2014.
According to TMZ, Banderas, 55, will be shelling out a whopping $65,000 per month to his ex-wife in spousal support.
Banderas and Griffith married in 1996 and have one daughter, Stella, together.
When they met, Griffith, the daughter of Hitchcock star Tippi Hedren, was divorcing husband Don Johnson for the second time and famous for films such as Pacific Heights, The Bonfire Of The Vanities and her Oscar-nominated performance in Working Girl.
Earlier this year, Banderas said he will always love the actress, despite the breakdown of their marriage.
Now, we’re learning more details about the high-profile split between this once-happy couple!
That means the 55-year-old doesn’t have to cough up any cash from Spy Kids, The Mask of Zorro, or Desperado. Griffith also gets the couple’s Aspen home and a Picasso painting called “The Painter and His Model”.
