Fiorina criticizes Trump during Iowa campaign stop
“Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”, Trump said Monday night, reading his new proposed policy.
So here’s a phenomenon: non-lobbyists financially backing two political candidates of opposing parties with completely conflicting views and experience levels.
“Here’s what I absolutely know: Hillary Clinton thinks Donald Trump is a gift-wrapped present under the tree”, she said.
In addition to Fiorina, numerous other leading presidential candidates have been busy posting on Twitter and other social media platforms, especially in response to Trump’s controversial call yesterday to ban all Muslims from entering the US until the government can “figure out what is going on”, according to a campaign press release.
“It’s a violation of our Constitution, but it also undermines the character of our nation”, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO added.
WHAT’S NEXT: This was the last stop in a four-day campaign swing for Fiorina.
“He’s not a candidate I would vote for”.
“Now I’m tied with people who have spent $50 million on TV, and we haven’t spent any”, Fiorina said, “so I feel very good about where we are and the people of Iowa have helped me get there, and I’m grateful for that”.
At home, she said, the United States must engage the private sector to track down extremists using technology and to monitor those who may be a danger. But the people attacking us are Muslims.
She said she offers a better alternative to defeating ISIS. She does not want to have to face me. “I am the lump of coal in her stocking”, Fiorina said. On a similar note, fellow democratic candidate Bernie Sanders posted a note to Trump advising him that “we are weak when we allow racism and xenophobia to divide us”, while Jeb Bush called Trump “unhinged” with proposals that can’t be serious.
Fiornia said all issues are women’s issues including national security, education and the economy. Later Tuesday afternoon, Carson visited the King Center to pay his respects to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife.
