Tata Motors launches Safari Storme VX at Rs 13.25 lakh
Tata Motors has launched a new variant of the Safari Storme VX.
The SUV now comes with a 2.2-litre VARICOR 400 engine with increased power and torque along with an all new gearbox.
In terms of design and looks, the new Tata Safari Storme VX remains all the same with hardly any changes to speak off. The only new addition to the new Tata Safari Storme is the new Charcoal Grey and Ocean Grey colours for the grille and some minor tweaks made to the roof rails. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands. Tata Motors’ new Harman-developed infotainment system is fitted with 6 surround-sound speakers. The new CONNECTNEXT system has contemporary features like – Speed Dependent Volume Control, Bluetoothâ„¢ Hands Free, with CD/MP3/Radio/Aux/USB and iPod connectivity, Phone Book Download, Audio Streaming and a Reverse Parking Sensor Display.
Along with this VX variant powered by Varicor 400 engine, EX and LX variants of Storme will also be on offer with Varicor engine producing 150 PS and 320 Nm torque.
Tata Motors on Tuesday launched a more powerful variant of its sports utility vehicle Safari Storme, powered by a new engine, at a starting price of Rs 13.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Besides a tuned powertrain, the Tata Safari Storme VX also gets a new 6-speed manual gearbox with a self-adjusting clutch and shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system.
Interior of Safari Storme VX variant gets an all-new Java Black theme with Warm Silver accent on dashboard and door handles.
In addition, there are features like the inertia switch and an auto engine immobilizer. The company is focusing on enhanced customer engagement levels at the dealerships backed by technology-enabled sales, service and spare part support. The Safari Storme is available in Arctic Silver, Astern Black, Arctic White Urban Bronze, and Pearl White.
Tata Motors has sold a total of 5,351 Safaris during the April-October 2015 period.
