Apple Inc this week announced a “smart” battery case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, the company’s first such product.

Unlike other cases which show battery levels, there are no blinking LED lights on the case to tell you how much power is remaining.

Its new feature is the intelligent battery life status that is displayed for users on both the iPhone lock screen and in Notification Center.
