Modern Family star has facial surgery to remove cancer

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson revealed that he had ‘cancer’ removed from his face!

The 40 year old took to Instagram.com on Tuesday (08Dec15) to share the news, posting a photo of himself with a bandage and gauze on his cheek. “Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face”, he wrote. Hugh Jackman has undergone multiple procedures on his face to remove basal cell carcinomas, and posted pictures of his bandaged face online. He added a message to the hit show’s makeup team, saying, “Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow”, along with the hashtags #youwannapieceofme #phantommask #spf75.

Ferguson, who has been a constant supporter of Stand Up to Cancer, shared a year ago that his husband Justin Mikita underwent a battle with the disease at a very young age.

This isn’t Ferguson’s first experience with cancer. Meaning it is going to fall on those professionals to cover up what we can safely assume is quite a big mark on Jesse’s face!

Also on Wednesday, the multiple Emmy Award-winning “Modern Family” cast was nominated for another Screen Actors Guild Award, for TV ensemble in a comedy, making it their sixth nomination and poising them for a potential fifth win.
