Seven troopers injured in Kashmir guerrilla attack
Terrorists attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Anantnag district of Jammau and Kashmir on Monday injuring atleast seven security personnel.
At least six CRPF jawans wereinjured when unidentified militants today opened fired on their convoy on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. A CRPF spokesman said that the attack took place near ‘Green Tunnel’ at Sangam in Doonipora area. Condition of some jawans is said to be serious. All six personnel are said to be out of danger even as a manhunt has been launched to nab the terrorists.
Home minister Rajnath Singh confirmed the incident and said that the injured officers were out of danger. “The Army post was completely destroyed in the attack”.
