OnePlus X Onyx to go on open sale on Amazon

The Onyx variant of the smartphone is priced at Rs 16,999 and is available exclusively via e-commerce giant Amazon.

The phone is set to be made available for open sale at midnight, but you’ll want speed on your side to make sure that the OnePlus X falls in your cart for pay and checkout process. The open sale of the device starts at 12 AM on December 10 and it will last for 24 hours.

No points for guessing that the variant will be available by invite. Bear in mind that the smartphone features the same hardware specifications as the standard OnePlus X, so you’re essentially paying a premium for the Ceramic body. The OnePlus X sports a 5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The OnePlus X is the first “Make in India” device for which local production will start in Hyderabad.

At its heart, the OnePlus X, has a Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.3 GHz quad-core CPUs. It also includes support for expandable storage of up to 128 GB.

The phone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera along with an 8 megapixel front shooter. The dual SIM smartphone will include a 2525mAh battery.

The OnePlus X is also the cheapest offering from the Chinese startup. It runs OxygenOS out of the box which is basically a custom ROM based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Head over to Amazon and grab the OnePlus X device today without an invite.
