America Ferrera Confused for Gina Rodriguez During Golden Globes 2016 Announcement Ceremony

Thursday morning, in advance of the Golden Globes nomination announcements, the organization’s official Twitter account tried to get people pumped up by tweeting a photo of the presenters.

Following a critically acclaimed debut on Jane The Virgin, the actress quickly experienced the highs and lows of celebrity, including a breakup and aGolden Globes win.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association hasn’t officially commented on the matter, and neither have Gina or America so far. Even though they deleted the tweets, they will forever live on in the world of the internet. Check out the tweets and tell us what you think!

Fans immediately took to Twitter to express their shock and disgust at the Golden Globes for letting something like this happen. She was also nominated again this year. At the ceremony, Gina Rodriguez nabbed her second nomination for her CW series Jane the Virgin, for which she won the trophy previous year.
