McCoy Won’t Shake Chip Kelly’s Hand
Episode 848 of LeSean McCoy vs Chip Kelly aired earlier today as Chip Kelly addressed the media to talk about the trade and how he feels it was mishandled.
“We put the guys in the game that will help us win the football game”, Shurmur said, via ESPN.com. Sproles was asked about Murray going to Lurie about his frustrations over the lack of touches and Sproles said no here would never got to him. “That’s why (he) said it. I know him”. Everyone that’s in town, we talk to individually here in our office. I have nothing negative to say about him. And I understand why he’s bothered. “I have tremendous respect for this man”. Darren Sproles gained 66 yards on 15 carries and Kenjon Barner gained 39 yards on nine carries.
Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole claims to have spoken to “multiple National Football League executives” who believe Murray is trying to wiggle his way out of Philly so he can reunite with the Dallas Cowboys.
Kelly acknowledged that Murray was frustrated after carrying the ball eight times for 24 yards in the 35-28 win at New England Sunday.
Murray said he didn’t seek out Lurie, and that they have sat next to each other on flights before.
Given Murray’s struggles, it’s pretty easy to look back and say perhaps Kelly should have looked to extend McCoy rather than cut bait. “I’ve had conversations with Jeffrey Lurie before”.
“I have nothing against him”, he said. I don’t have nothing against him. “A hundred percent, yes”. And all of the sudden, I’m driving to an event and he’s been traded. I love this team. This hurts me when I see players do this! “I know that’s not going to happen”.
McCoy expected to do that, too.
PHILADELPHIA LeSean McCoy said he doesn’t hate Chip Kelly. (Kiko) Alonso, meanwhile, has only the 43rd-highest cap hit among inside linebackers at just under $786 thousand. Murray is softspoken and seldom in the locker room at all.
“I always wanted to talk to LeSean”, Kelly told reporters Wednesday.
“It was a tough decision”. They went against him every day in practice for two years. Players think it’s all about them.
Dilfer: I think it’s money. His production has dropped and Ryan Mathews has performed well, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
There’s absolutely no denying that Murray hasn’t been what the Eagles hoped they were getting when they signed him. “That’s stuff I don’t do, but in a situation like this I’m sure they’d be looking for me to retaliate and do different things”. And you have to deal with it as best you can.
“Every receiver wants the ball; every running back wants the ball; every quarterback wants to throw”. “They were both sitting in first class and talked about the game and what happened with it, and then I’ve talked to DeMarco since then”. There’s some dudes I played with, I’m going to shake their hands. Will he really do by “matchups” or will Murray continue to get less carries and possibly not even see the field.
