Warriors Just getting Started with 17 wins and 0 loses!!!!!!!!!!!!
“We’ve had some battles and, obviously, we’ve had some lopsided victories”, Curry said.
“We may feel a little better after a win, but a month from now, hopefully what we come away from this game with is more significant than one win. That is the only thing that really motivates us”.
The 3-point record could well have fallen had Curry not sat out the fourth quarter. Rookie small forward Stanley Johnson notched the first double-double of his career with 19 points and a season-high 10 rebounds, and small forward Marcus Morris chipped in 12 points and six assists for the Pistons.
Avery Bradley tossed in 25 points, Evan Turner added five of his 13 in the final minute and the Celtics (10-8) stopped a three-game road slide after beating the Heat (10-6) who wasted Dwyane Wade’s game-high 30. “They shoot 3s like layups”.
Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe added 21 points apiece for Phoenix.
Like Messi and Barça’s formidable “MSN” attack, Curry has his own partnership with Klay Thompson. “The more pressure, the bigger the moment, the more comfortable our guys feel”, interim head coach Luke Walton told reporters. The Warriors won the title last season and have not been satisfied with that, as they have played better than anyone in the National Basketball Association. But that’s the type of game it turned into. “He deserves a lot of credit, because that’s not easy when you don’t play consistently and you get thrown in there to be professional enough to stay ready.”… Golden State’s last five wins? They’re very well-coached. They have a very good team concept. “We didn’t do that”.
“A lot of that is based on our ball movement”, Curry said.
Toronto, led by point guard Kyle Lowry’s 27 points, shocked the Wizards 84-82 in Washington on Saturday when Cory Joseph hit a buzzer-beater from the deep left corner.
The victory opened a seven-game trip that continues with Curry’s return to his hometown of Charlotte, where he’s averaged 29.0 points in five visits.
So what does this victory mean for Golden State? The Warriors shot 56.8 percent from the field and 57.9 percent from 3-point range. Then Curry hit another three-pointer.
In the first half against the Jazz, Curry came off a screen to the right of the top of the key.
The Dubs are playing without Harrison Barnes, who’s nursing a sprained ankle.
Walton said the team isn’t anxious about the streak.
With the game tied at 101 with 51 seconds left, Curry hit a three-pointer from the left wing to give the Warriors the lead.
The Warriors appeared to dominate for the majority of the game despite Phoenix having six players in double figures. The reigning MVP drilled three clutch shots down the stretch as the Warriors escaped Vivint Smart Home Arena with a 106-103 win Monday night.
Suns: At Toronto on Sunday. Totals: 17 0-2 39.
