Micromax has made declaration about the introduction of two new handsets in the Indian market today.
The smartphone packs a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter. The company claims that the smartphone is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 600 hours of standby time. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop’. The bummer on this handset is that it doesn’t offer 4G LTE network support and doesn’t have dual SIM card support.
In comparison, the Canvas Fire 4G featured a 4.5-inch display, 1GHz MediaTek MT6735M quad-core 64-bit processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, and microSD card.
The Micromax Canvas Mega 4G runs Android 5.1 and is powered by a 2500mAh removable battery. For connectivity, Canvas Mega includes – 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. With more than 70% of neo-users in the age group of 15-24 years extensively streaming videos on their smartphones; the growth of phablet market has been triggered exponentially. For connectivity Canvas Mega 4G includes – 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and A-GPS.
It has a 13 mp camera, five mp FF front camera and 2500 mAh battery. It supports 3GB RAM and comes with 16GB onboard storage.

Micromax has priced the new Canvas Mega and Canvas Mega 4G at Rs 7,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively. The press statement did not mention a specific date of sale yet.
