Man who killed stepdad with “atomic wedgie” gets 30 years in prison
SHAWNEE, Okla. | An Oklahoma man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after admitting he strangled his stepfather after a fight by pulling his underwear over his head.
Brad Lee Davis, 35, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a deal with prosecutors on May after his 58-year-old stepfather Denver Lee St. Clair was found dead in their home in December 2013, according to the New York Daily News.
The “atomic wedgie” led to St. Clair’s asphyxiation death.
Davis may be the first person ever to be charged with the wacky and humiliating execution.
After the fight, Davis called 911 to report what happened, but police believe he tampered with the crime scene to make it look like he killed St. Clair in self-defense. Even the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office used the term “atomic wedgie” on its police report.
“His underwear was pulled up over his head and the elastic band was around his throat”.
Davis and St. Clair had been drinking together the night of the incident and began fighting when Davis claimed St. Clair began speaking ill about Davis’ mother, who is St. Clair’s wife.
Authorities also alleged that Davis sent a text message to a friend before the fight, writing that he would hurt St. Clair because he had “nothing to lose”. In the end, Pottawatomie County District Judge John G.
