Pro-Bush group attacks GOP rivals, invokes US security
The group initially planned to air positive, biographical TV ads about Bush, including a 15-minute mini-documentary, “The Jeb Story”, that aired in New Hampshire last weekend.
“You’re not going to get earned media unless you’re outrageous, but it is foolish to try to out-Trump Trump”, said John Jordan, a California donor backing Florida Sen. “I found that to be a good leader you have to listen and learn first”, he added.
“If there is any damage being done to the Trump brand, it is by Donald Trump himself”.
When reminded that he had to list a celebrity, he demurred.
But the Republican leadership is also critical: House Speaker Paul Ryan said Trump’s proposal “is not what the party stands for”. “Indeed, current polls show him running second to Jeb Bush, the son and brother of two former US presidents”.
Bush is in fourth place, at 8 percent, in a new poll released by WMUR and CNN Tuesday evening.
“It can happen here, too”, Fernandez said.
At the Hooksett meeting later that day, Bush said he still stands behind his support for refugees, who are often fleeing violence in their home countries perpetrated by the enemies of the U.S.
“It’s not about the blowhards out there just saying stuff”, Bush said. “I always saw him totally in charge so it was interesting insight that he was a human being…”
Tommy Royer, a sophomore studying business at Saint Anselm College, admitted that Bush isn’t the candidate typically thought of as being able to attract young voters. “If you don’t like it, I’ll take you outside'”. “You’ve got to find the proper balance of believing in American values and being serious and real about keeping us safe”.
Bush campaign manager Corew Lewandowski Wednesday night dismissed Bush’s claims.
“I realized if I tried to achieve what I thought my Dad was…” “In 2007 I thought of Jeb Bush being a solid candidate for 2016 election”, he told Mother Jones by email.
The pro-Bush ad contrasted the three Republicans with Bush, who has the support of a number of former military officers. Bush explained that Trump lacks the track record needed to win against Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, a former Secretary of State, U.S. Senator and First Lady. Asked what his plans are to contain the activities of ISIS, the global terrorist organization that has beheaded some of their American captives, Trump merely responded that as president he will “bomb the hell out of them”, and the same people believe that this vague and unintelligent response by Trump is the best America can do to stop ISIS.
