Holm pulled off a stunning upset victory over Rousey in the fight, knocking out the women’s bantamweight champion in the second round with a powerful kick to the head Sunday.
The UFC wants bantamweight champion Holly Holm’s next fight to be a rematch with Ronda Rousey. The former champ did somehow hint about her depressed state on the setback via that exclusive ESPN The Magazine, but she did vow to return and get back at Holm.
The 28-year-old American confessed that she had suffered damage to her teeth in the shock loss to Holm which would prevent her getting back in the octagon for several months.

Despite the semi-official announcement, Holm’s camp was skeptical that Rousey would be in fighting shape by that time.

Rousey told TMZ.com she’s free because her fight was moved to November and asked Haschet to find dates for a few of her friends. Recently Rousey confirmed that it’s going to be a while before she’s ready to compete.
The development comes as No. 1 contender Rousey, who has beaten Tate twice, serves a mandatory six-month medical ban as doubts remain over her future.
