Scuffles erupt at Ukraine’s parliament, PM dragged from post
Meanwhile, outside the parliament building, up to 1,000 protestors gathered to demand the yesignation of the Ukrainian government and its head – Mr Yatsenyuk – according to Russian media reports on Friday.
After handing Yatsenyuk the flowers, Barna grabbed the prime minister at the waist and tried to carry him away.
Mr Yatsenyuk is lambasted by many in Ukraine for imposing deep cutbacks, while others accuse him of doing too little to fight graft and reduce the influence of the billionaire “oligarchs” that the country’s 2014 revolution sought to sideline.
“I knew my rating would be affected but I came to office not because of the rating”.
The MP, a former physics teacher, has been collecting signatures for the Mr Yatsenyuk’s resignation since November, the Kiev Post reported.

Footage uploaded to the official Ukraine parliament YouTube channel shows the brawl beginning, but not Mr Barna dragging Mr Yatsenyuk away from the podium.
A brawl ensued after which the Poroshenko bloc’s leader Yuriy Lutsenko apologised to the prime minister. I’ll accept the decision of the Ukrainian parliament.
The Ukrainian parliament’s Petro Poroshenko Bloc said that it would not initiate Yatsenyuk’s dismissal from his position until after the government passes a new budget and tax reform.
The Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in turn said that he had been expelled from the faction at their initiative.
