Ditch your PC, if you’re willing to suffer a little
This constant 9.7-inch screen, even as it gained pixels with the advent of the Retina Display, also kept a tidy distance apart from Apple’s smallest laptop displays, at 11 inches on the smaller version of its MacBook Air. This is a comparison between both devices.
In terms of connectivity, the iPad Pro includes a lighting and smart connector whereas, the Surface Pro 4 includes a full-size USB 3.0, microSD card reader, mini display port, cover port and charging port. No points for guessing the victor out here! The tablet is surprisingly big, which may make it a bit hard to handle. This tablet is easy to carry as it is light.
There are many more issues to work on, though, so if Microsoft wants to see the strong support it received for the Surface Book and Pro 4 in America extend to the rest of the world, it will need to get these issues shored up before its new hardware debuts overseas. The less expensive Pixel C is not so powerful as the SP4.
When it comes to their build and design, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and the iPad Air 2 are comparable in most ways. It hasn’t revealed how much RAM is there to support the processor but the various teardowns reveal it sports 4GB of RAM.

The Google Pixel C is powered by Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. More importantly, Apple has also managed to squeeze in a GPU with a 12 cluster setup instead of the 6 cluster one found on its A9, so there’s plenty of horsepower in here as well.
On the storage front, the iPad Pro comes equipped with 32-128 GB worth of storage while the Surface Pro 4 is pretty much customisable for both the casual user to the professional and everyone else in between. It also offers a battery life of 10 hours.

The keyboard also offers a more comfortable typing experience than Microsoft’s latest offering and the built in Bang and Olufsen speakers transfer the sound from the main device when the keyboard is connected. Pixelmator for iPad was featured in the Apple Special Event in October, 2014. However, alongside Apple Pencil and 3D Touch support, Pixelmator 2.2 includes several other enhancements that benefit all iOS users. It’s a more stable and efficient version of Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The TypeCover can be detached and the device can be used as a large-sized tablet.
Former Apple exec and now blogger Jean-Louis Gasse recently questioned Cook’s reasoning too, arguing that the Apple CEO’s “insistence that his iPad Pro is a replacement for his laptop is presumably honest, but it’s misguided and unnecessary”.
Nothing here would convince fans of either device to switch over.
“Why should we assume that [iOS] is the right OS for all devices?” The build of each is impressive as well as attractive.
Price, of course, is the determining factor for most of us.
Cook’s characterization – made in September at the roll-out of the iPad Pro – was taken up by Jan Dawson, principal analyst at Jackdaw Research, who lobbied for a new operating system largely based on iOS as it stands today. A new auto-straighten feature lets you straighten images with a tap, while cropping lines now snap to objects in your picture.
