Microsoft Launch Cortana On iOS And Android
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella demonstrates Cortana, a new digital personal assistant function for Windows phones, as he delivers a keynote address during the 2014 Microsoft Build developer conference on April 2, 2014 in San Francisco, California. The Redmond-based software giant said Windows 10 desktop users can do everything that they can do on smartphone versions of the app, except texting and calling the driver. The report claims that Microsoft is working on “a floating Cortana” for the PC, which will allow Cortana to appear on top of documents and provide information, as well as help depending on the info that’s available on the screen. Information stored in Cortana’s Notebook on a PC such as interests and weather, will sync across devices and any changes made on one will be reflected on the others.
As a user, you will not be able to view any difference when you work with different platforms.
Cortana now also comes integrated with Cyanogen devices owing to Microsoft’s partnership with Cyanogen.

Although Cortana is now available on more platforms, not all versions are created equal.
Microsoft explains a little more about what you can expect from their Cortana voice-controlled assistant. Cyanogen users will also be able to ask Cortana to toggle network modes, power down the phone, and turn on Quiet Mode among other features.
Overnight, adding these apps makes Cortana and Windows 10 more viable.
Despite lacking deep operating system hooks of Android’s Google Now and iOS’s Siri, Cortana could still be a very useful companion for Windows 10 PC users. In fact, Cortana isn’t the only Windows thing Microsoft opened to the public. Today, details have emerged on some of the company’s future development plans for Cortana, which are expected to make their way to users as part of its Redstone updates next year.
