Matt Damon for “The Martian”, Steve Carell for “The Big Short”, Al Pacino for “Danny Collins”, Mark Ruffalo for “Infinitely Polar Bear” and Christian Bale for “The Big Short“. Truthfully, I think all the nominations do.
“This season, our trans characters are making mistakes and finding love and rejecting love and they’re all caught up in the Pfefferman family mess”. Turns out the Globes weren’t down to acknowledge them as only supporting roles, so those ladies were nominated in the best actress category instead.

Up for best comedy are: Amazon’s “Transparent”, HBO’s “Veep”, Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black”, Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle” and Hulu’s “Casual”.
The winners will be announced in an awards ceremony set for January 10 that will air live on NBC with Ricky Gervais as host.
