George Lucas supposedly ‘really liked’ the new ‘Star Wars’
J.J. Abrams just saved “Star Wars” fans and viewers some extra seconds of their life when he revealed information about the upcoming release.
Polarizing filmmaker George Lucas may have created the Star Wars universe, but he has had absolutely zero involvement in the production of The Force Awakens.
The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams isn’t about to break tradition, as he recently announced at a press conference on Sunday.
The Brit – who stars alongside Daisy Ridley in the new sci-fi movie – admitted there’s no point trying to reason with people who are unwilling to listen to logic.
The branding partnerships for the latest edition of the Star Wars saga go way beyond the usual toys and kid-centric paraphernalia.
The film is being kept so under wraps that three Star Wars spin-off directors – Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Colin Trevorrow – have said they haven’t seen the film yet.
Meanwhile, Independent reports that Han Solo-Harrison Ford-is vouching for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” goodness. If everything the movie has to say can be fit between the opening scrawl and the end credits, more power to it. Surely there will be some fans who will be disappointed by this news, but hopefully theyll all get over it fairly quickly.
Christie said that she was glad that her character wouldn’t meet her fate yet, unlike fellow character Boba Fett, whom Christie’s character has been compared to.

Also now open at the two U.S. parks is “Star Wars: Path of The Jedi”, where visitors can watch a short film celebrating Star Wars in a theatre setting, and “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue”, which takes guests to multiple Star Wars destinations where they can interact with characters from the movies. Normally his presence wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but considering Luke Skywalker has been absent from almost every trailer, TV spot and poster throughout The Force Awakens’ entire marketing campaign, it’s a welcome sight to see Hamill’s face.
Others speculated that the actor was simply teasing fans to add to the hype ahead of the film’s USA release on December 18.
