Such is the case for the Baltimore Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker.

As a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I’m nearly sworn not to offer any kudos to the Baltimore Ravens, but it is the Christmas season – and no one is better prepared musically to remind us of that fact that Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker.

On Thursday night, Tucker delivered a phenomenal performance at a Christmas concert for Catholic Charities in Baltimore. He’s been singing since college (Texas) and NFL Films has done a short video on his singing – and his teammates’ reaction to it – at /0ap/NFL-Films-Presents-Justin-Tucker.

An NFL star known for belting kicks on the football field can also hit high notes away from the field.

“It echos through the locker room”, he said. “I don’t know where it comes from”.

Tucker, a practicing Catholic, was reportedly in demand.

Tucker was invited to sing at the event based on his growing reputation as an awesome opera singer, and received a standing ovation from the crowd after his performance, according to ESPN. “Then when he is place-kicking, we know he’ll have the real connection”.
