Jimmy Carter’s Cancer not detected in Latest MRI Brain Scans
He said the new scan showed no signs of the original cancer spots or any new ones…
“When I went this week, they didn’t find any cancer at all, so I have good news”, announced Carter while addressing hundreds of people at Maranatha Baptist Church in Georgia.

“My most recent M.R.I. brain scan did not reveal any signs of the original cancer spots nor any new ones”, he said in a statement.
Carter underwent surgery in early August to remove a tumor in his liver, after which doctors found spots of melanoma on his brain. He will continue with the immunotherapy treatment of pembrolizumab to prevent cancer from developing in other parts of his body. Dr. Marc Ernstoff of the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute in OH told Reuters that only 5% of patients treated with pembrolizumab achieve full remission.
“Metastatic melanoma is a serious and potentially life-threatening illness”. It’s the best news possible in a hard situation. “There’s no cancer in his body at this point”, said Carter. Mr. Carter said he is appreciative of all who prayed for him.
President Carter served as president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, succeeding Gerald Ford, pardoning all evaders of Vietnam War drafts and creating the Department of Energy and Department of Education in the cabinet.
“See?” he added. “I knew he wasn’t really human”. “He’s in fantastic shape for 91 and I like happy endings and I’m very happy that he is going to be OK and be with us for a while”, Kurland said.
