After 10-hour wait for wind, Dustin Johnson leads British Open
And like the mailman, nothing nature could throw his way could stop Johnson from his appointed rounds on Saturday.

Mickelson would go on to make a triple bogey 7 on the hole, effectively ending his chances.
The 1988 British Open, the last to finish with a full round on Monday, was won by Seve Ballesteros.
Johnson produced a attractive links-style punch and run at the 17th to ensure a par after a poor drive over the Old Course Hotel but playing partner Spieth dropped a shot after three-putting.
“I mean, it’s not my strongest major, and I’ve always said at the start of this week, I said, I’m looking forward to changing that this week”. That caused Spieth to race toward his ball but then jump out of the way.
Most players weren’t laughing.
Winds continued to gust and a further announcement from the R&A pushed play back by at least another hour.
“More than disappointed in the R&A”.
The green on the 11th hole in the morning proved to be unplayable as players would replace their ball after marking it, but the ball wouldn’t remain still. Obviously it wasn’t my best week of golf. He continued to react with humor in the face of the worst play of his career.
Masters and U.S. Open champion Spieth had an uncharacteristic five three-putts in his even-par second round and is five shots back of Johnson. I want to win. I need a really solid round tomorrow, though, because Dustin is not letting up.
Those days seem so long ago. He did enough damage over 13 holes Friday that even a couple of bogeys didn’t get him off track, and he showed in the short time he played Saturday he could handle the wind.
“It’s just slow steps”.
“What we weren’t expecting when we made the decision to go was the wind picked up”, he said. “I still believe I can win this tournament”.
Then, of course, there was last month’s U.S. Open, when he had a 12-foot putt to win the title on the final hole.
The man is a shadow of his former self, having not won a major since 2008 or a tournament since the 2013 World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational. Instead, he three-putted and lost to Jordan Spieth by a single stroke.
Now, he’s facing fresh doubts about his ability to finish off a major championship.
“It’s not rocket science”, Lawrie says about a style of golf that is a mystery to many.
Padraig Harrington, at age 43, is seeking his third British Open victory and will begin the final round only two shots out of the lead at 10-under par after shooting 65 on Sunday. “If we were playing an amateur event here, I wouldn’t be too surprised by the scores I shot”.
He made only one birdie all day, leaving him with a 7-under 209 total that puts him five shots off the lead. “I fatted my 3-iron off the tee, and then I fatted my 8-iron into the green on 2, drove it in a divot there on 4”.
The incident with Koepka was one thing.
The morning starters are again playing under partly sunny skies with only a light breeze, setting up a repeat of Sunday’s third round when the scoreboard was filled with red numbers.
