Warriors see streak finally come to end
Golden State’s record 24-game winning streak to start the season came to an end on Saturday in a 108-95 loss to the Bucks in Milwaukee, with interim coach Luke Walton saying the Warriors “ran of gas”.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, played its best game of a frustrating season, shooting just a shade under 50 percent from the field and knocking down 6 of 14 3-point attempts. While Golden State had to rely nearly exclusively on Curry and Draymond Green for scoring, the Bucks’ balanced offense allowed them to go to the break up 11.
“We stuck together tonight”, said center Greg Monroe, who led Milwaukee with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

Elsewhere, San Antonio put in a superb defensive performance in the first half to set up a big win at Atlanta, Boston ended Charlotte’s winning streak in a result that tightened the fight at the top of the Atlantic and Southeast divisions, while Detroit extended its home winning streak to five by defeating Indiana.

In a game that saw 14 lead changes and six ties, the Celtics took the lead for good at 90-89 on a fast-break basket by Thomas with 2:54 remaining. The Bucks average the second-fewest number of possessions in the league (95.3 per 48 minutes), while the Warriors’ pace is the third-fastest (101.7).
