Ole Miss football player hospitalized after Atlanta hotel fall

National Football League prospect Robert Nkemdiche was injured in a fall at a hotel Atlanta, police said.

Department spokeswoman Kim Jones says it appears that 21-year-old Nkemdiche broke a hotel room window, walked about 15, climbed over a wall and fell roughly 15 feet late Saturday night. Police tell the news station, Nkemdiche fell approximately 15-feet from the Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead.

Nkemdiche reportedly was conscious and breathing when police officers responded to the incident, and he is in stable condition at a local hospital. He’s lucky he didn’t shatter any bones or suffer any brain trauma. While he has not declared as of yet, the thinking is that he will indeed be heading off to the NFL Draft next spring, effectively making the Sugar Bowl his last game as a Rebel. The All-SEC and All-American Georgia native has 29 tackles and three sacks this season.
