Iowa poll: Cruz leads Trump
“I was against going into Iraq”, Trump told Tapper in an interview that aired Sunday on “State of the Union”. “You never get things done that way”, he said.
“You can’t walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people”, Trump later added, apparently referring to Cruz’s clash earlier this year with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Both interviews were recorded Friday, after Cruz got caught on tape bashing Trump and Carson at a private NY fundraiser.

Donald Trump blasted rising rival Ted Cruz Sunday following a pair of Iowa polls showing the Texas senator now in the lead. Trump, who leads national polls of likely Republican voters, has shown only a marginal improvement, rising from 19% to 21%.
“I don’t think he does, though he’s been so nice to me”.
Rubio kept up his clash with Cruz Sunday. Iowa has a strong evangelical constituency, and Trump was quick to note, “I am an evangelical”.
“Who is prepared to be a commander in chief?”
He predicted he’ll outlast Cruz “because I’m more capable”.
It is not a surprise that the same state Republicans who gave Rick Santorum the win in 2012 would end their flirtation with Trump and come back to Ted Cruz. Sen. “Now that’s a question of strength, but it’s also a question of judgment”. “That’s true, and certainly 21% is very good with such a large field, but he’s been much higher in other polls since October, so it’s possible he was higher and is now on the way down”. “Well, you know, poll numbers go up and down”.
