Lacy, Starks lead Packers past Cowboys 28-7
“Today was a little better”. And that’s fair, but it was still a nice play on a tipped ball, and it’s exactly the type of play the Packers have to make in this game.
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a prediction piece much like this just prior to the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears matchup on Thanksgiving night where I suggested that Mike Ditka was the only person picking the Bears to beat the Packers at Lambeau Field that night.

Matt Cassel, starting his sixth game for the injured Tony Romo, was 13-for-29 passing for 114 yards.
The Packers were counting on Shields to shut down Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.
A week after barely seeing the field after missing curfew in Detroit, Eddie Lacy responded with 124 yards rushing and hopes this is the way the offense keeps performing as the regular season winds down.
Ted Moore, the Packers’ radio announcer, called the final play of the game back in 1967: “Here are the Packers, third down, inches to go, to paydirt”. Dallas RB Darren McFadden had runs of 50 and 45 yards and needed only seven carries to go over 100 rushing yards….
Dallas’ touchdown came on Robert Turbin’s 7-yard run midway through the third quarter to make it 14-7. Dallas rushed for 171 yards, and 80 came on four plays that led to Turbin’s score.
McCarthy’s game was not without its head-scratching moments, such as a pass call (which was incomplete) on 2nd-and-goal at the Dallas 1-yard line.
Bryant was held to one catch for 9 yards. Fullback John Kuhn saw plenty of action as well as the Packers controlled the ball and ate up the clock (37:48 time of possession).
Lacy and Starks each had touchdown runs in the fourth quarter. Eddie Lacy piled on another touchdown with less than three minutes left as the Packers pulled away for a 28-7 victory. Bryant said the injury was not serious last week and it should not be an issue for Bryant heading into the game against the Packers. He has 2,957 passing yards with a total of 26 touchdowns and five interceptions. Shields left the game with a concussion in the second quarter after making a sliding tackle on the Dallas sideline….
