Louisa Johnson wins X Factor
HAMPSHIRE rappers Reggie “N” Bollie were joined by superstar Craig David on the X Factor last night.
But it was her duet with Rita Ora that astounded judges and audience alike.
The performance was enough to earn the duo a spot in Sunday’s final after Ché Chesterman was eliminated.
Her mentor Rita Ora proudly added: “Thank you to Louisa for being the most cute, generous, gorgeous, hard-working victor of The X Factor 2015!”. She continued to attend classes as her X Factor journey progressed, admitting: ‘Its weird still being at college, even the teachers are talking about me, everyone been so nice’.
And the show concluded with Johnson, singing her X Factor single, mobbed by her fellow contestants. Watch the emotional moment Louisa found out she was this year’s champion below.
It’s also been revealed that the Essex girl won with 53.9% of the vote, to runner up’s Reggie N Bollie’s 38.9%’s. “I absolutely loved her”, she said.
Meanwhile, One Direction, who would reportedly be taking a short break on their careers for at least a year, performed their songs “Infinity” and “History”.
The X Factor final was also a star studded affair as Coldplay, One Direction and Adele each performed for the excited crowd. In all the years I have done this show, I have never seen anything as good as this.
The pain of the plummeting figures was compounded for show boss Simon Cowell by BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing semi-final drawing 9.4 million, in its earlier slot from 6.50pm. “I’ve always gone on what I thought”. “It was wonderful, it made me nervous for everybody”, he said. I feel like I’m being judged!
The pair gave a rousing rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s And I’m Telling You from the musical Dreamgirls yesterday that rose the roof of Wembley Arena. Just think of it like your first audition, that you’re out there to impress us for the first time again. It’s got so much attitude.
