Israeli police – suspects arrested over fatal torching of Palestinian home
In the first attack, which took place overnight in the city of Hebron, two Palestinians stabbed an Israeli soldier before being shot dead, the army said in a statement obtained by AFP.
Earlier, an Israeli soldier and a bystander were wounded in a shooting in the West Bank, the army said, before the assailant was shot dead.
In the latest violence, police said a Palestinian was shot and killed near the Old City in Jerusalem after stabbing an Israeli officer and wounding him.
It is unclear yet whether the victim was an Israeli soldier.
He said the Israeli campaign includes traditional advertising, partnerships with Russian tour operators and bringing Russian celebrities to Israel to “spread the word”.
Reports of the arrests followed Israel’s partial lifting of a gag order on the case, and comes a day after the U.N.’s special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov, criticized Israel for how long the investigation has taken.
On Thursday, two other Palestinian men were gunned down by Israeli forces in separate incidents in the occupied territories.
Palestinians are also angry at increasing raids on the al-Aqsa Mosque and attacks on their property by Israeli settlers.
It said in a statement that those detained were being questioned over the July 31 firebombing in the West Bank village of Duma.
Palestinian anger over the Duma attack has been a factor fuelling a wave of street assaults on Israelis that erupted on October 1.
Such demolitions, heavily criticised by rights groups, have regularly resulted in clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians.
On Thursday, the soldiers shot and killed a young Palestinian man, identified as Mazen Hasan Arabiya, 37 years of age, in Hizma town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Israel blames the Palestinian media and leadership of inciting the violence.
‘Arabiya is Palestinian security officer, and a married father of four children. Palestinians say it is rooted in frustration over years of failed talks and lack of hope of gaining statehood.
“I love Israel, and Israel is our real strong supporter”, Trump said in answering an audience member who asked about his support for Israel.
