Planned Parenthood vandalized in South St. Louis
CNN’s Chris Cuomo went head to head with Carly Fiorina last Friday, pressing the Republican presidential candidate on whether she felt any responsibility for influencing Robert Dear, the man who killed three people and wounded eight others during his attack on a Planned Parenthood Clinic in Colorado Springs.
CLEVELAND Attorneys for Planned Parenthood sued OH on Sunday, asking a judge to block what it argues is an attempt by the state’s top attorney to stop the organization from providing abortion services, court filings showed. Officials from the Ohio Department of Health were not immediately available for comment.
Citing police and eyewitnesses, Kogut said the “disturbing” and “outrageous” act of vandalism appeared to be related to the prevention and abortion services Planned Parenthood provides. The lawsuit asserts Planned Parenthood was not in violation of OH law and that the claims in the attorney general’s report were false.
Kight says the agency’s agreements with waste disposal vendors require them to dispose of tissue appropriately. “And we will be here and our doors will be open”, says Kight.Kight says Planned Parenthood’s contractors follow every step of OH law when disposing of fetal tissue.
The extensions – from September 30 to December 11, and now to December 16, despite a deal to increase spending and give negotiators some room to maneuver – are the product of entrenched disagreements over riders on the likes of Planned Parenthood, Syrian refugees, the Export-Import Bank, climate change and tax breaks.
Kogut, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, said police were holding a woman in the attack. He plans to seek an injunction Monday to prevent Planned Parenthood from disposing of fetal remains in landfills.
She said it is “highly motivated by a political agenda that both the governor and attorney general are pushing right now in OH”.
That tissue, according to a statement made Attorney General Mike DeWine (R) on Friday, was disposed of by companies that would dump the tissue in landfills.
The St. Louis Planned Parenthood is the only Missouri clinic providing abortions.
She said it is the same way medical material from other healthcare providers is disposed of.
