After ‘Star Wars: Battlefront,’ DICE is Moving on to ‘Battlefield 5’
He said that the developer is moving on from “Star Wars Battlefield“, and that it is ready to shed some new light on the series yet again.
Dan Vanderlind, the development director of Star Wars: Battlefront, has tweeted to say that he’s finished his work on Star Wars: Battlefront and is moving on to work on the next Battlefield. The DLC will deliver a reworked version of Dragon Valley, which has now been tailored for “Battlefield 4”. “Next year, it’s another Battlefield title”.
“Battlefield 4”, on the other hand, suffered server problems during its initial release that despite being fixed overtime, reviews were already marred by the said glitch.
The “Battlefield Hardline”, for example, didn’t gain the praise of its fans primarily because of its character context that portrayed cops and robbers, something that is hardly seen with the conventional “Battlefield” concept.
Presumably more details about the new Battlefield will be offered during the spring of next year or during E3 2016 at the latest. While the particular source was dubious enough that there were some if wondered it was some kind of prank, it turns out the company has now confirmed that they are indeed working on another title in the Battlefield series. Despite a mixed reception and doubts around its long-term playability, Battlefront has left both Star Wars and Battlefront fans (mostly) content. As the first DICE-produced title designed for current-gen consoles, it gave gamers a glimpse of how beautifully rendered a game-world can be.
What would you be looking forward to most in Battlefield 5?
