Swift to release concert tour exclusively on Apple Music
The Apple Music deal for Swift’s concert represents the first occasion that a major piece of video content has been locked down as a platform exclusive in the world of streaming music. “I’m not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months”, Swift said in a Tumblr post at the time, justifying her decision.
It may be Taylor Swift’s birthday but it’s her fans that are getting the gifts this year.
So if you like the theory that in the future, big tech companies like Apple, or Google, or Netflix, will end up replacing traditional music labels and music studios as content underwriter/owners, feel free to use this in your next argument.
Selena posted a picture of them together and wrote on Instagram: “I don’t know life without you Taylor”.
The singer also tweeted that an interview discussing the video would be broadcast at 9 a.m. PST (1700 GMT) on Monday on Beats 1, Apple’s radio station. Like, are they going to flip my telephone off? Are they watching me proper now?
Swift’s mega-selling “1989” recently snagged seven Grammy nominations. Presumably, this particular concert was chosen for the doc because it took place before more than 70,000 fans in a country that heretofore was thought only to exist in Hugh Jackman’s mind. “Like people start screaming and it makes me rise to that, it makes me rise to their level of excitement, and that’s just how it’s been this tour”, she said. “Maybe it is as a result of I love enjoying this document”.
Other musicians who popped up on Swift’s top-grossing tour include Lorde, the Weeknd, Alison Krauss, Fetty Wap, Steven Tyler and Miranda Lambert.
“It occurs alternative ways totally different occasions”, she stated of the visitors.
