George Lucas to Attend ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Premiere: “He Really”

And it’s nice to hear Lucas enjoyed the movie, especially since Kennedy said he had a hard time “watching this go on without his direct involvement”. Isaac divulges his lifelong loyalty to the Long Time Ago, Far, Far Away saga, and Ridley explains what an honor it is to be part of a story that has had an impact on so many. “Having him 100 percent on board is up to him and he can’t do that unless he’s running everything”. “There is no such thing as working over someone’s shoulder”, he said.

The film is being kept so under wraps that three Star Wars spin-off directors – Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Colin Trevorrow – have said they haven’t seen the film yet. I knew that I couldn’t be involved.
