Winter storm warning for much of Montana
With a Winter Storm Watch already issued by the National Weather Service, there is the potential for this to be a big snow storm for our area.
A Livingston teen is dead after the vehicle she was riding in crashed early Sunday morning. The combination of snow and wind will make travel over all passes very tricky at times. Heavier snow is expected to develop Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday.
A low pressure system and its associated cold front continues to track across Arizona, bringing Valley showers, mountain snow and chilly temperatures along with it.
Drivers should anticipate winter driving conditions with areas of low visibility, slick roads and blowing snow. Much less snow accumulation is expected in the central part of the state, generally an inch or less. Wind: NW winds are possible for some areas 10 -20 gusting to 30 miles per hour. 3 or 4 inches could fall during the day. This storm starts colder but is moving faster. According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, several inches of snow may accumulate across far southwest Kansas Sunday morning, before about noon.
