Marines collect Toys for Tots at Arrowhead Stadium
There was a huge turn out on Saturday in Springfield for the “Toys For Tots” distribution.
WPRI-12, Fox Providence, and the Rhode Show set up a “Toys for Tots” donation center at 25 Catamore Boulevard in East Providence which will run through December 22nd.
Saving Christmas, one man’s massive donation made sure New Mexico kids will have something under the tree this year.
Firefighters in attendance said they want to help their community not only in times of crisis, but also in times of joy. “After we pay expenses, all the cash leftover will go to Toys for Tots”, Amarello said.
More families needed help this year and fewer donations came in.
Runners and walkers who participated donated a toy for Toys for Tots.
Sgt. Lange said it was a busy day from the moment they arrived. “I mean, I don’t know any other way to put it”.

“Words can’t describe it, really”, said Keith Datson.
“We’ve had ups and downs over the years. when the economy took its turn for the worst in 2009, the toy collection dropped”.
Burnley says he’s happy to help deliver hope, something someone once did for him.
