Fable Legends Delayed; Open Beta To Release In Spring 2016
The open beta for Fable Legends has been pushed back to next spring.
Last week, I made note that Fable Legends had missed it’s Fall 2015 release window and that the promised public beta hadn’t turned up either.
Microsoft and Lionhead studios have been suspiciously quiet for an unnerving amount of time regarding Fable Legends.
Lionhead plans to invite 100,000 more players into the Fable Legends closed beta over the next few weeks, with priority going to those who have been on the waiting list longest. For the rest of us, we will simply have to wait until 2016 to be able to get our first sample of the next iteration in the Fable series.
“Fable Legends is coming together well and it’s a lot of fun”, Lionhead said in an update on the game’s website.
“It also means we’re spending more time listening to our closed beta players to make sure their voices are heard”.
A post on the official blog explains the delay. We realise this may be disappointing for those of you not now playing, so we wanted to tell you why.
The company states, “We’ve built a unique and innovative multiplayer experience combining RPG and RTS gameplay that allows you to play, and use your gear seamlessly, across Xbox One and Windows 10”.
Lionhead has announced that the open beta for free-to-play Fable Legends will be delayed to Spring 2016. On top of this, we’ve built a attractive new world full of grand stories and adventures.
The closed beta continues to run 24/7 and new features, quests, creatures, and heroes to play are being continuously added.
An actual release date for the game hasn’t been specified, but we’re hoping for a release later in 2016.
