Events planned to mark Sandy Hook anniversary
The idea for 26 Days of Kindness, is to perform acts to honor the 20 children and six adults who lost their lives in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown.
“From Columbine, to Sandy Hook to San Bernardino to Chicago, the Genesee St.in Rochester to Chili Ave.to every suburb and city in America gun violence reigns supreme”, said Rev. Lewis Stewart, United Christian Leadership Ministry.
For the first time, Newtown students are in school on the anniversary of the tragedy.
