Are You Ready For ‘The 12 Days of Deadpool’?
The unorthodox marketing for Ryan Reynolds’ not-quite-superhero movie Deadpool has been inventive, disturbing, and HIGHlarious! The actor has been a hit on social media with various Instagram and Twitter posts doing a great job of getting people excited about the first solo film for Marvel’s popular anti-hero, and it looks like we’re going to get another look at some new footage before the year is out.
A new “Deadpool” movie trailer will be released on Christmas Day, and sources say that it will air during an National Basketball Association game, according to ScreenRant. However, in the new film, Deadpool will be depicted differently as was confirmed in previous reports, and how he is being marketed as “the merc with a mouth”.
The 12 Days of Deadpool begins today!
Between a new trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence over the weekend, a leaked trailer for Star Trek Beyond on Monday and the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens later this week, we officially have enough sci-fi entertainment to last us into 2017. As you might have expected, it’s a heavy-handed innuendo.
Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who almost destroyed his life.
Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax.
