Blue Bell to return to Arkansas store shelves in January

It’s the first batch of cartons to hit stores on the MS coast since the company pulled its products nearly eight months ago after a listeria outbreak sparked a recall. Abilene is part of Blue Bell’s “Phase 3” distribution plan, which includes most of central Texas and southern Alabama.

Ricky Dickson, vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Bell, said in the statement: “We continue to make good progress in our three production facilities”.

BRENHAM, Texas- Blue Bell ice cream will be back in the Mid-South earlier than expected. Approximately 1,000 furloughed workers, company-wide, will be back on the job by the end of 2015.

The company returned to production in August and has been distributing to various areas of the country in phases since then.

Blue Bell is releasing seven flavors right now including, Buttered Pecan, Cookies ‘N Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla and The Great Divide.

H-E-B said Blue Bell ice cream will return to all San Antonio area H-E-B stores on Monday beginning at 5 a.m. when delivery trucks arrive.
