Google for iOS updated with 3D Touch, iPad multitasking and more
The Internet giant has added two new features to its app, which were not directly a part of essential mapping, but now seem to be critical for such services that people increasingly rely on.
According to Techno Buffalo, the new update released by Google is only available to the fourth-generation Apple TV and third-generation devices that run on tvOS version 7.0 or newer.
Google Maps for iOS is also now displaying gas prices. Although Apple’s transit service doesn’t cover as many cities as HopStop and Google Maps, it has its strengths, including improvements in getting you to and from subway stations.
Good news for those of you have movies and TV shows in your Google Play account and also happen to have an Apple TV instead of a Chromecast.
In the latest update to its dedicated iOS search app, Google has made the program compatible with some of iOS 9’s marquee features. That way, you can easily find the movie or show on the Play Store.
Meanwhile, the gas-price feature allows users to get the nearest gas stations in addition to their prices across the United States and Canada.
The Google app for iOS has been updated with 3D Touch support, giving iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users some added functionality. Now you can see what you always knew about any business or retail location: It starts getting busy after lunch.
As well as being able to view the map, you’ll also be able to get directions, as well as details about local establishments e.g. opening hours of a restaurant, or a phone number for a massage parlour.
