Jose Aldo deserves a rematch against Conor McGregor, says Jon Jones
Speaking on Brazilian TV, Aldo said: “Of course, if god wills it, now, firstly I want to get back to gym and come back stronger”.
“At 27 years of age, with every record in the book, with weight divisions above, ready for me to go at, super fights left and right”. Those figures are not yet known but experts expect that the PPV buys will exceed the one million who paid to watch McGregor win the interim title against Chad Mendes at UFC 189 this summer. The Irishman seems intent on a move into the lightweight title picture, and if he is to stay at 145lbs, Frankie Edgar has been promised the next shot at the featherweight gold.
McGregor only needed 13 seconds to dethrone longtime featherweight champ Jose Aldo and unify the featherweight title belts in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sunday AEDT).
Back in November, EA Sports announced that the upcoming EA Sports UFC 2 would feature Ronda Rousey on the game’s cover.
He said: “All through the week I’m watching videos of the Irish going insane throughout Las Vegas… the Irish fans, you can’t beat them”.
“Nobody can take that left-hand shot”, McGregor told ESPN after the UFC 194 bout drew 16,516 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and raked in a U.S.-record gate revenue of $10.1 million.
“If you can see it here and you have the courage to speak it, it will happen”.
McGregor will require an x-ray on his left wrist, the same he used to knock the legendary Aldo out in quick fashion. “I knew he would overextend and I knew I’d catch him so Mystic Mac strikes again”. It was the fastest finish in a championship fight in UFC history, beating Rousey’s 14-second win over Cat Zingano at UFC 184. “It would have been nice if the contest had stretched out a little longer, but I still feel the same process would have happened”.
Andre Pederneiras wants to show the world Jose Aldo will not make the same mistake in a rematch with Conor McGregor.
“I said his right hand would get him into trouble”, he said in the octagon. “That’s not happening. There will be a belt on one shoulder and a belt on the other shoulder”.
Now all eyes are set on the fight on Cerrone vs Dos Anjos next weekend and White promises to make a call afterwards.
