Palestinian dead after ramming Israelis, wounding 9

On Sunday, a Palestinian woman attempted to stab a settler in the Givat Avot neighborhood of Hebron, but was shot and critically wounded by Israeli troops.

Israel condemned Abbas’s comment that attacks are “justified”.

El-Ad said in a statement that Israeli soldiers and police officers effectively became “judge, jury and executioner” after the policy was encouraged by senior Israeli politicians and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Police say they suspect the terrorist had plans for a larger attack after finding a large axe in his auto. The rest of the victims suffered light injuries.

The poll also found more confidence in violence than peaceful measures as a means to achieve Palestinian statehood: 66 percent believe an armed intifada would serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not, while only 50 percent think wide-scale peaceful confrontations would be more effective than negotiations.
