Rihanna’s new album Anti is still not finished, reveals Sia
Unless she’s trying to throw people off the scent and Rihanna’s going to pull a surprise-release this side of Christmas, that is…
This (slight) bombshell comes from Sia, who revealed that Rihanna was tapping her for new songs as recently as last week. They had two tracks. It was a business, like, meeting, for sure.
The news emerges weeks after Rihanna was reported to have rejected a song Sia co-wrote with soul superstar Adele, so the Australian musician chose to use Alive on her own upcoming disc, titled This Is Acting. “I’m pretty sure I have one [song] on the next album, but I don’t know if I’ll end up with more than that”, Sia explains. “Anti” was initially given a speculative 4th December release, with a proposed Tidal exclusive to arrive before.
Rihanna’s world tour kicks off in February, so she’s very quickly losing time before she’s forced to release her new music – plus, she’s missing out on a ton of Holiday sales. Sia informed fans that she had presented the diva with a collection 25 original songs for potential use on her forthcoming ANTI- album.
Anti, Rihanna’s eighth studio album, has been teased throughout the year with hit singles “Bitch Better Have My Money”, “American Oxygen” and “FourFiveSeconds”.
