Stormtroopers, droids invade ‘Force’ premiere
Die-hard fans hoping to see the film on the first night can still get tickets for screenings between 3am and 6am and tickets are still available for the following days.

They are the original trilogy as many of you many have enjoyed seeing at the theater when it first came out.

Police cordoned off the area around the famed Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard hosting the premiere along with other nearby theaters hosting some 5,000 guests, setting up metal detectors and deploying scores of officers and sniffer dogs.
Once they were allowed in the giant, four-block tent, they were treated to displays of some of the film’s newest characters, including the evil Captain Phasma and BB-8 droid.
The premiere’s red carpet kicked off Monday with Stormtroopers marching and droids rolling past cameras before the film’s stars arrived. This may be one of the rare times a group like this is greeted with cheers!
Steven Zeitchik, an arts and entertainment writer for the Los Angeles Times, praised the retro feel of the film, writing: “From comedy to costumes, fights to FX to overall feel, JJ Abrams has created a thoroughly old-fashioned movie £StarWarsForceAwakens”.

The TCL Chinese Theatre – formerly known as Grauman’s Chinese Theatre – hosted the premiere for the first Star Wars movie in 1977.
Matthew Belloni, a journalist for the Hollywood Reporter, wrote: “Star Wars premiere just letting out now”.
